Okay guys I thought that we needed a place to share our thoughts about the movie once we've seen it. So here is our place.

Do NOT read any further if you have not seen the movie!

In general, if you are one of thoes people who can look at the book and the movie as seperate beings, you will be very impressed. Even as one of the people who spent almost the entire time having a comentary with the person next to me, who by thew way came with me and was not a complete stranger, I enjoied it. I'm not saying that there weren't details that I thought were important to the story that didn't make itt in and that there were'nt scenes that I though didn't belong in the movie or that I just didn't like, but over all I think they did a great job with it and I would definately go see it again.

I must say that I was a little worried that Rob and Kristen wouldn't be able to carry the characters very well, but I was pleasently proved wrong. Although I do think that the adjusting Rob did for his accent did make him sound like he had a speech impediment.Kristen carried the character of Bella Swan beautifully.

So definately go see it if you were planning on waiting until it was on DVD or planning on not seeing it at all*cough cough Icy cough cough* I think you will definately enjoy it, as long as you keep in mind that the film makers are allowed a little artistic freedom and that Stephenie approved.

I will admit, there were parts I raised my eyebrows at, but I still enjoyed myself. It was fun to be in the theater with all the other twilight fans and be able to laugh at some of the humor only someone who had read the books would get. There were definatly parts I thought didn't need to be in the movie, and overall, I think they rushed the relationship way to fast. It didn't give their love the depth that it has in the books. I know, I know you have to cut to make a 500 pg book into a 2 hr movie, but that is one part I felt needed more time.

I did like how Bella did a voice over in parts. I must say the one part I thought they did a terrible job on was Edward in the sun. I'm not saying I know how to make it better, but that was the cheesiest thing I have ever seen!!

Overall, I enjoyed myself and would tell others who love the books that they would probably enjoy themselves too.

I myself really enjoyed the movie over all, every one knows they lefts stuff out, but it didnt stop me from having a good time and ignoring my friends who were 1. talking the entire movie or 2. making crude noises next to me.... lol not saying i didnt do this at one point in the movie but the movie touched me so deeply that i would go and see it over and over until i got sick of it and there hasnt been a movie like that for me in ages. Bella, Alice, Rosalie, Emmet, *gasp* Jasper, all did a wonderful job on their characters. Edward i was impressed. I really enjoyed how they brought in elements that you would only know if you have read Midnight Sun... That was the best. XD Well overall rating if you've read all of the books and Midnight sun you will entirely enjoy this romantic comedy with it's spin of seriousness.

Well, I'll just say it was better than I expected, because I had expected it to be absolutely atrocious, and I actually enjoyed myself.

But...
Edward's accent still bothers me x about 500 bazillion.
I thought Taylor Lautner's acting definitely left something to be desired.
It all felt really rushed. I know they were trying not to cut anything out, because the fragile, precious fangirls would assassinate them. But everything was really short and underdeveloped.
Edward in the sun was VERY anticlimactic.
The whole meadow scene was...well, not amazing.

Good points:
The pepperspray humor was good.
There were parts that made me laugh because they were so cheesy or so incredibly close to the books.
Kristen and Robert were...pretty good.
Carlisle, despite the overload of makeup, was over the top gorgeous. *sa-woon!!!!*
There was enough action to keep me interested.

The first time I saw it I wasn't overly impressed. I mean, I didn't hate it, but I was spending most of the time comparing it to the book. Which I expected I would do anyway. But the second time I saw it I knew what to expect and so I was trying to see it from a different perspective, as if it were completely solitary, no book for it. Then I actually liked it.
As has already been said a few times, I liked the inside jokes that fans of the book got. The strange glances or something obscure a character would do/say that only made sense if you'd read the book. Or times when Edward would look at Carlisle and you knew he was talking to him in his mind, but the non-book readers probably didn't pick up on. I absolutely loved the scene when Edward takes Bella to meet his family and Rose has a temper tantrum, while Em is waving a knife at Bella, I laughed so hard, right along with the rest of the girls in the theater.
And I must say that one of my favorite moments was this: There were only about six guys in the theater, and the rest of the seats were jammed full, and when the previews started at the beginning, the very first one was an ad for that Bod spray, and there were a bunch of guys without shirts on...but it was absolutely hilarious, because a ton of girls started like whistling and yelling "Wooo!". It was great. And I'm sitting there thinking to myself how the few guys in the theater are probably kicking themselves for getting themselves into this already, and the movie hasn't even started yet.
The only part about the movie that I didn't enjoy was my best friend sitting next to me grumbling and sighing and shaking her head in a disruptive manner through the whole movie. Oh, and I think the meadow scene could have been A LOT longer and more developed, it pretty much made EPIC FAIL. But other than that I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Oh, and Katie-wa...If you told people who haven't seen the movie not to read any further to avoid spoilers...why did you bother putting "If you haven't seen it, you should go see it" at the ottom of your post...they won't see it lol. Just wondering... Laughing
